Things to Do After Receiving a Yes During a Proposal

You spent several days thinking about your decision to ask for her hand in marriage. You don’t want to rush it in fear that she will reject you. After careful planning, you will find the perfect opportunity. Make sure that you have the best engagement ring so that she can’t say no. You can type “jewelry stores near me” online and find websites like Willyou.net for the best options. After she says yes, these are the things you need to do.

Celebrate with family and friends

There’s nothing wrong if you decide to make the engagement private. You also don’t want to put your girlfriend in an awkward position by inviting other people. However, after she says yes, it’s time to bring the special people in your life into the fold. You can have a family dinner or party with your friends. They are a part of the journey, and you want them to feel special. Sharing it with them is another way of saying thank you for making your relationship happen.

Start thinking about the wedding day

If you already feel exhausted planning for the engagement, it will worsen for the wedding day preparations. If you choose a date close to the engagement, you will start the wedding preparations immediately. Many people want to get married too, and they might book your preferred locations and suppliers first. Before you run out of options, you have to finalize your reservations.

Make sure the ring fits

It’s awkward if the ring you bought doesn’t fit. However, it’s not a big deal. You can always go back to the store where you purchased the ring and make it fit perfectly. It won’t take much time for the jeweler to adjust the size.

Discuss your future together

You might think that the next step is to plan the wedding, but it’s not the biggest part of your relationship. You still have to discuss your future together. Marriage is the next level, and it’s way different from what you have now. Start thinking about where you’re going to live or how you will change your routine. You don’t need to take everything seriously yet, but there’s nothing wrong with brainstorming as early as possible.

Continue living your normal life

Just because you got engaged doesn’t mean you can no longer live your regular life. You can still get back to work a week after. She will also do the same. You can also have fun with your friends, and it’s the same with her. It feels good to know that even if you decided that you will be together forever, you will still respect each other’s individual lives and interests.

You must be happy if she decided to accept your proposal. If it was difficult for you to ask the question, responding is also challenging for her. Your engagement deserves a celebration. Remember that it’s only the beginning of the journey. You want to live a wonderful life, and it requires both of you to work on it.
